Fighting fire with water is an old method but very effective!! From the view of Fire Safety Engineering, water is more and more used in well engineered installations like watermist-systems. At the moment no other extinguishing agent is available with similar energy absorption capacity than highpressure-watermist. For these systems often seawater is used as a medium.
